Verse of the day: Pleasing God

Hebrews 11:5-6 “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Obedience to God is a matter of faith. If we trust that someone will do what they promised, most likely we will be inclined to do what they ask of us. It’s a simple principle in life. Trust is earned. God’s word has been tested and proven to be true and faithful by countless people throughout the centuries. He can be trusted fully and dare I say–blindly. That is why we can only please him if we obey him, if we trust him.

What happens when we please those who loves us? They lavish us with good things!

1 John 3:22 And whatever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

Amen and amen!
