Yet the number of the people of Israel will be like the sand of the sea, which can be neither measured nor numbered; and in the place where it was said to them, “You are not my people,” it will be said to them, “Children of the living God.” Hosea 1:10 CEB
Ah my God, how wonderful you are!
As the Lord spoke to me softly this morning, I heard him clearly. Although we can lose our way from time to time, He does not change his mind about us. God does not change his plans for me because I went astray. His arms are forever opened waiting for me to repent and choose him again.
In this chapter and the following chapter, Hosea describes the infidelity of Israel who cheated against God by worshipping other gods.
But his love is so real that despite their failure, God still reminds them that the promise remains.
Dear reader, the promise of God for your life still stands no matter how far you are. Come back to him. What he has in store for you is far greater than all that you can accomplish alone. Be reconciled to God.
All it takes is a simple prayer from your heart, to receive Jesus-Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. He is the only way to God.
